Karyme Lozano is one of the most prominent international television stars today, three times chosen as one of People in Español’s ’50 Most Beautiful People’.
Her hugely successful soap operas have aired multiple times in numerous countries on every continent and dubbed in several languages. Karyme has found tremendous acceptance with audiences internationally resulting in a fan base of millions of people that follow her soaps and projects around the world. Karyme is the only star simultaneously featured in a lead role in two prime-time soaps, El Manantial, and Niña Amada Mía, a unique event in Univision history.
Not surprisingly, Karyme has found equal success on stage, by starring in Spanish versions of musicals Anastasia, Cinderella, and Grease. On top of her many awards and recognitions (Las Palmas de Oro, TV Y Novelas, Eres, Teleguía, etc.), her lead film role, a moving performance as an artist physically and mentally abused by her boyfriend, in Desnudos earned her a well-deserved nomination to a coveted Ariel Award, Mexico’s equivalent to the Oscars.
Adding to her popularity from her television work, which made her internationally recognizable, her equal success in theatre and her demonstrable, multi-faceted skills, Karyme Lozano is not only an experienced, bilingual actor, she is also a fresh, eye-catching original, and a gifted, dedicated professional. Karyme’s profound success earned her the honor of hosting the Latin Grammy’s with Kenny G to co-producing and starring in a movie along with Rafael Amaya; "Pepe and Santo vs America" (an independent movie directed by Javier Chapa), an American production with a warmhearted humor that tells a story about Mexican Immigrants in search of the American Dream.
Karyme also co-starred in the Epic movie, For Greater Glory, next to Andy Garcia, playing the role of Doña María del Río de Sánchez, mother of Blessed José Luis Sánchez del Rio.
In addition to her acting career, Karyme is now writing and directing various projects. She completed a short film entitled the True Meaning of Love; a reflection of a dying woman's choice made when she was young and the consequences of her decision.
